LIVING STONES FELLOWSHIP
"You yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
-1 Peter 2:4

Statement of Faith
-
We believe in one God, the only True God as He has revealed Himself in the Scriptures; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is eternally existent and creator of all things as the scripture plainly declare: “in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.” (Deut 6:4; Isa 37:16, Isa 43:10, Isa 44:6, Ex. 20:11).
-
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the promised Messiah (Christ) of Israel, the Eternal One in whom all the fullness of deity dwells in bodily form (fully God), and who is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us (fully man).
-
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, knew no sin, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died and was placed in a tomb from which He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures; afterward ascending to heaven- to the Father’s right hand (John 1:1-14; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Peter 3:22)
-
We believe in the Holy Spirit who comforts, teaches, leads, indwells and empowers all whom God redeems and regenerates. As we walk in (yield to) the Holy Spirit, God produces the fruit of the Spirit in our lives (Acts 9:31; 1 John 2:27; John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:7, Galatians 5:22-25)
-
We believe that the Bible, both the Old Testament and New Testament, are the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Reading, studying, memorizing, meditating upon and teaching of God’s word is foundational to an abundant and obedient life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19; Psalm 119; Luke 24:27,32)
-
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God, but that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. We believe that the just consequence of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Genesis 1, Romans 6:23, Colossian 1:14)
-
We believe that God desires that everyone should repent and come to the knowledge of truth for the purpose of salvation; realizing that this salvation comes by grace through faith, and not by human efforts. (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5, 6; 1 Tim 2:4)
-
We believe in the spiritual unity and equality of all believers as part of the Body of Christ. We believe that water baptism is the means by which believers identify with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and is an integral step in their obedience of faith. Likewise, the regular participation in the Lord’s supper (communion), where the bread and cup act as symbols of His body and blood, reminds us of His atoning work until He returns. (Ephesians 2:19, Romans 6:3-7, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
-
We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ, at a time known only to God. His return will correspond with the resurrection of all people to receive eternal rewards or punishments. The resurrection and transformation of believers is our blessed hope, and motivates us to godly living, sacrificial service and eagerly proclaiming the Gospel to all peoples. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5, 6; 1 Thess. 4:16; Matt. 24:14)
-
We believe the institution of marriage and sexual intimacy is built into God’s creation of mankind in Genesis: that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female.’ For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the covenantal union of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
-
We believe that human life is unique and sacred from the moment of conception and should be protected. We recognize the physical and spiritual needs of all people; following Christ’s example, we are to love everyone created in God’s image. (Psalm 139:13-16, Lev. 19:18)
